Marvin Leinbach and Cody Hobble were the first ones to be sent out, being deployed on July 6th and returned home July 23rd. These two members, on their first deployment, were on the Martin Fire (435,569 acres burned), Silver State Fire (3,778 acres burned), and Dog Creek Fire (16,336 acres burned). 

The second batch consisted of Scott Kerstetter and Josiah Wagener, who were deployed August 15th and returned home September 2nd. These two seasoned members were on the Goldstone Fire which burned 9,337 acres and is currently only 22% contained. 

DCNR is offering a FI110 (Wildland Fire Investigation) class March 17th, from 0800-1200 hours at Little Buffalo State Park.

The spring pack test will be the same day, March 17th, starting at 1200 hours with the refresher class afterwards, also in Little Buffalo State Park

The field day for the S130/S190 class being held in Shermans Dale is March 10th.

The time for fall pack testing is coming up.  The dates for these trainings can be found below. Please remember to wear appropriate foot wear, and bring all the essentials. This includes the form under the pack test dates.

DCNR Pack Test - Thursday, October 12th in Blain at 0800 hrs.

TWFC Pack Test - Sunday, October 15th in Blain at 0800 hrs.
